Mr. Avtuvi served as a legal intern at Gornitzky & Co. and has been an associate with the firm since 2008. In 2017, Mr. Avtuvi became a partner at the firm.
Mr. Avtuvi concentrates his practice in the field of telecommunications and media corporations, which encompasses involvement in commercial transactions, telecommunications related disputes, regulatory aspects and ongoing commercial advising.
Mr. Avtuvi's experience also includes litigation in varied and complex commercial and civil disputes before Israeli courts, as well as in arbitration and mediation procedures.
Notable recent representations include:
- Representation of a large telecommunication corporation, with regard to a dividend distribution by way of capital reduction and legal proceedings in connection with such dividend.
- Representation of a leading communication and broadcast companies, in connection to obtaining regulative and legislative aspects and appeals to the Israeli Supreme Court.
- Representation of a leading telecommunications company in an approximately NIS 80 million cross-border legal dispute.
- Representation of one of Israel's prominent kibbutzs in a high-profile legal dispute (estimated in several billions of NIS) with Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael (the Jewish National Fund) and the Israel Land Administration over the ownership of approximately 1,500 dunam of land in central Israel.
During his legal studies, Asaf served as a member of the Criminal Justice Clinic, which provides pro bono legal representation for indigent defendants in criminal cases.
