Mr. Sohar began his legal career at Gornitzky & Co. as a legal intern in 1963, when the firm only had five lawyers in its employment. He has been an associate with the firm since 1965 and became a partner in 1967. He has served as Counsel to the firm since 2001.
During his career, Zvi led the firm's capital markets and securities practice. In this capacity he provided legal advice to companies throughout their various stages of development, including establishment, ongoing corporate matters, periodic and annual reports to relevant authorities, prospectuses, and public offerings.
One of Mr. Sohar's first clients was Osem, one of the leading food manufacturers companies in Israel, which he advised from his first day in the office throughout the company's decision to go public in 1992. With his counsel, Osem, and other companies of the like, went from small operations to become leading manufacturing companies at the forefront of their respective industries.
