Overview
Yael specializes in international litigation in the areas of complex commercial arbitrations, business litigation, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Yael has extensive experience with the international and domestic arbitration and litigation of shareholder disputes, joint ventures and financing agreements and advises clients with respect to their international disputes outside of Israel.

Recent, significant litigation and arbitration activities include:
  • Representation of a foreign entity in its dispute with an Israeli corporation in an ICC arbitration
  • Representation of corporations in claims involving oppression of minority shareholders rights, objection to takeover attempts and representation in a merger transaction requiring court approval.
  • Representation in a dispute against an Israeli ranking company;
  • Representation in an estate dispute involving international and domestic proceedings;
Yael completed her doctoral studies at Harvard University Law School in the areas of contract law, contract theory and law and economics. While attending Harvard Law School, Yael was the recipient of numerous fellowships, including the prestigious Justice, Welfare and Economics Fellowship, the John M. Olin Fellowship in Law, Economics and Business and the Clark Byse Teaching Fellowship.

Yael is Adjunct Lecturer of Law at Tel-Aviv University teaching the course "Time and Law" and has also lectured several times to the legal assistants to Israeli judges on the art of persuasive writing.

Yael's representative publications include:
  • "Disputable Facts" (24 Tel Aviv University Law Review 131);
  • "Justice: When Do We Decide?" (39(3) Connecticut Law Review, 923, 2007).
Yael also publishes contributory opinions to Israeli newspapers, including about the economic crisis (The Marker, April 7, 2009) and the effects of privatization (Calcalist, April 12, 2009).
