ABOUT

Assaf began his career at Gornitzky & Co. as a legal intern and has been an associate with the firm since 2016.
Assaf’s practice focuses on tax and various aspects of commercial law. As such, Assaf is involved in complex tax planning, for both local and international corporations and private entities, corporate reorganization and joint ventures, tax restructuring and tax assessments, regulation of financial institutions and their activity in Israel and abroad.
Assaf advises private clients on matters regarding family wealth planning and preservation, taxation and management of trusts and estates, voluntary disclosure, and tax planning and consultation for high net worth individuals around the world. Within this framework, he advises and accompanies new immigrants and returning residents on their immigration to Israel and the consequences it entails, in terms of their businesses and assets.
In addition, Assaf takes an active role in third sector activity, including, inter alia, advising philanthropic organizations, non profit organizations, public benefit corporations and philanthropic funds.
Assaf serves as an assistant to the Co-Chair of STEP Israel (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), Adv. Daniel Paserman, and plays a central role in the organization’s ongoing activities, including organizing annual conferences and training courses for its graduates, business development and strengthening the organization’s customer relationship.
Throughout his studies, Assaf volunteered at a community economic development clinic, in which he advised small businesses and entrepreneurs on formulating a business idea and the process of maintaining a business.
Assaf is also authorized by the Administrator General at the Ministry of Justice to prepare and execute Ongoing Power of Attorneys (“Living Wills”).
